Originally produced by Theatrebam Chicago, Schoolhouse Rock Live! is a live stage musical with music and lyrics by various artists and a book by Scott Ferguson, George Keating, and Kyle Hall. It is based on the animated musical educational series of short videos titled Schoolhouse Rock! that originally aired on ABC Television in the 1970’s created by David McCall, George Newall and Tom Yohe.

The full length original version of the show. Features 21 songs and a cast of six. The casting is flexible with the ability to have as many performers as you would like. This is the show that ran for many years in Chicago, New York City and is still produced all over the country.

THE SHORTER VERSION FOR SCHOOLS

The “Broadway Junior” version of the show is tailored for schools, tours or student performers. It includes 11 songs and a flexible cast, accommodating anywhere from 10 to over 100 performers.

This show uses the original character of TOM and a new story set in a diner to bring many more of the Schoolhouse Rock songs to life on stage. It features 21 songs including all of your favorites!

Theatrebam Chicago’s mission with the show was to captivate audiences with timeless educational tunes, inspiring minds through engaging musical storytelling. The timeless songs nostalgic for many and will continue to bring joy to many more.
